🫐 Blueberry Yogurt Breakfast Bowl (No-Cook, Healthy & Ready in 5 Minutes)

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: No cooking
Serves: 1 bowl

This Blueberry Yogurt Breakfast Bowl is gentle, nourishing and quietly joyful. It’s a brilliant no-cook breakfast that comes together really quickly. Thick yogurt blended with berries becomes the softest, prettiest purple base, topped with fruit and muesli for texture and comfort — the kind of healthy breakfast bowl that makes the day feel kinder before it’s even begun.

Perfect for busy mornings, warm days, or when you want a light yet filling meal without switching on the stove.

Inspiration

Some breakfasts don’t shout — they whisper. This bowl is inspired by slow mornings, sunlight through the window, and that tiny moment of happiness when your blender reveals the most beautiful shade of pinky-purple.

A few years ago, hubby dearest and I shifted toward healthier eating — more energy for adventures, work, and wrestling with the kids. Think fewer carbs, less sugar, protein-rich meals, and earlier dinners. That’s when I discovered berry bowls at a small café we loved. After many experiments with different fruits and toppings, this became my favourite — and now I’m excited to share it with you.

🫐 Ingredient Fact

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants (which give them their colour) and offer powerful health benefits. They’re a great source of fibre, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and manganese, while being naturally low in calories and fat. Indigenous peoples even called them “star fruits.”

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) thick plain curd or Greek yogurt
  • A handful (75–80 g) fresh blueberries
(Frozen also works for an extra-thick bowl)
  • A handful of muesli or breakfast cereal
(Sugar-free, nut & seed blends work beautifully)
  • Any non-citrus fresh fruit, sliced
(Banana is a favourite; apples, kiwi, berries and coconut also work)

Optional

  • Natural sweetener: ½ ripe banana or a drizzle of honey
  • A few ice cubes

Method

Start with the berries

Place the blueberries into a blender with 1–2 teaspoons of yogurt.

Sweeten (only if needed)

If using banana, slice and add now.
👉 Tip: If using honey, drizzle it later just before eating.

Pulse gently

Pulse until blueberries are crushed.
👉 Don’t over-blend — this should remain thick and spoonable, not a smoothie.
Enjoy the gorgeous purple colour — it’s part of the joy.

Add the remaining yogurt

Add the remaining yogurt and ice cubes (optional). Pulse briefly until smooth with no white streaks.

Serve

Spoon into a bowl.

Beautify

Top with sliced fruit and muesli or cereal.

Final touch (optional)

Drizzle honey only if needed — keep it gently sweet.

Dig in

Slowly. Happily.

🌟 Tips & Tricks

  • Frozen berries = thicker bowl
  • Thick yogurt creates creamy texture
  • Pulse, don’t blend
  • Less sweet is better — let the fruit shine
